چکیده
Objective: The goal of this paper was to evaluate the validity foot and ankle offset (FAO) measurements in setting severe deformities. Methods: This study included 57 feet (36 patients) that had a history cavovarus deformity. Each participant received weight-bearing computed tomography (WBCT) scan then used measure FAO. measurement performed once using traditional technique two additional times modified allows for rotational correction images align talus. Results: Traditional FAO (TFAO) (MFAO) were found have significant correlation with one another (r (54)=0.92, p<0.001). There high positive between variables techniques (r=0.92) intraobserver reliabilities (ICC=0.95) measurements. agreement TFAO Modified also considered excellent (ICC=0.99). Conclusion: MFAO method provides statistically similar compared population. Thus, could potentially expand its patient population provide surgeons reliable tool assessing more Level Evidence IV; Retrospective Study.

The snowboarder's foot and ankle.
We undertook a prospective study to determine the type and distribution of foot and ankle snowboarding injuries. Reports of 3213 snowboarding injuries were collected from 12 Colorado ski resorts between 1988 and 1995. Of these, 491 (15.3%) were ankle injuries and 58 (1.8%) were foot injuries. Ankle injuries included 216 (44%) fractures and 255 (52%) sprains. Thirty-three (57%) of the foot injur...
متن کاملFoot & Ankle International: the preeminent foot and ankle journal in the world.
Foot & Ankle International remains the preeminent journal publishing articles on the care of the foot and ankle. The most widely used objective measure of the importance of a journal is the Journal Impact Factor (JIF). The 2012 JIF was calculated by dividing the number of citations in 2012 of articles published by FAI in 2010 and 2011 by the number of articles published in 2010 and 2011 in FAI....
متن کاملFoot and ankle ligament morphometry.
This study primarily measured and established a morphometric spectrum of cross-sectional areas for foot and ankle ligaments with the use of a new freeze-fracture technique that was independent of ligament cross-sectional shape. Ligament morphometry measurements were made on a total of 121 bone-ligament-bone preparations that were harvested from 26 fresh (unembalmed) male cadaver feet. We used t...
